It’s with a heavy heart we write this, his eye was necrotic and infection has spread into his jaw. Most likely all caused by something so avoidable, a fishing hook.
We decided with the vet the most humane thing to do for his was ease his suffering.
This is not the rescue I had hoped it would be, but I also expected euthanasia to be on the table given the state of his eye.
It’s awful. I’m mad, I’m angry and I’m hurt, but most of all I just wish people would be more careful and treat animals with respect. ALL ANIMALS.
