Well our little friend is alive.

She made it through surgery. Her prognosis is unknown as we don’t know how her body will handle it all. Having one leg as a duck has a lot of risks. Risks of infection, risks or pressure sores and arthritis. 3d legs aren’t really a viable option as ducks are so clumsy and they don’t stay on well.

She will need very intensive care the next few weeks to make sure she doesn’t get an infection.

Lucky for her she’s in good hands with her new foster. She will stay in hospital over night and go to foster tomororw with For Ducks Sake.

And we may have a forever home lined up if it all works out.

She may only have a year left of good quality life but she’s worth every penny.

Welcome little lady!
