Today we said goodbye to this sweet babe named Boggs. Boggs like many bearded dragons was not given proper care and suffered greatly for it. Sometimes all we can do for animals is allow them to pass peacefully. I used to get so angry about these cases and that anger is still there but also a sense of peace. I used to feel like we failed those animals but a friend told me how we are “still rescuing” them, just in a different way.
Some days rescue is a lot. A lot of emotions, a lot of final decisions, a lot of goodbyes.
