Over the last several months we have seen an increase in a “new duck breed”. Last year we saw about 5 of these and thought they were albino mallards which was still a crazy amount to see. Well after seeing over 20 now, and actually catching one, we can for sure say they are in fact NOT a wild mallard. They are not an old magpie that’s turned white or even a Cayuga, but what appears to be an entirely new breed or one that we have not seen before. But by the amount of them, it appears soemone is breeding them and abandoning them.
With climate change we have seen some big differences in nature, including in domestic animals, part of me wondered if this was another one, but nope it appears humans are messing around again.
